Celebrity Big Brother 2, The Amazing Race 31 premiere dates revealed
Let’s start off here with the Julie Chen-hosted Celebrity Big Brother 2, which will be premiering come Monday, January 21 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. Just like the first season the competition will run for about three weeks. (The finale is set to air on Wednesday, February 13 with a two-hour episode.) The schedule for the celebrity show is literally all over the place in the time in which it is on the air — there are at times as many as four or five shows a week, and that includes one airing the Saturday before the Super Bowl.
The cast for Celebrity Big Brother 2 has yet to be revealed, but you can check out some of our casting do’s and don’ts in a video at the bottom of this article. (We’ll have a casting wishlist of our own at some point over the next few weeks.)
As for what else we’ve got coming from the CBS world…
The Amazing Race 31 – For some reason, the network is waiting until Wednesday, May 22 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern to air the new season, which features contestants from Big Brother, The Amazing Race, and Survivor all competing. What’s somewhat-interesting here is that The Amazing Race may actually be airing around the same time of the year as the Canadian version depending on what CTV decides for the future of their own series. Casting has been underway on season 32 for a while, and all signs with that one point towards it being something closer to a traditional Amazing Race season with traditional teams of two traveling the world, hoping to win the grand prize.
Survivor 38 – The not-yet-officially-titled season (there are rumored ones out there) will kick off on Wednesday, February 20 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. We’ll find out more about it officially when the Survivor: David vs. Goliath finale officially wraps up.
The World’s Best – CBS’ version of America’s Got Talent premieres following the Super Bowl on February 3, though that was announced a little while back. This show will settle in following the big game to the Wednesdays-at-8:00 p.m. timeslot until the premiere of Survivor. After that, it will follow up Survivor until the end of its season in March.
Hopefully, we’ll have some other news on premiere dates for a number of other reality shows in the future.
