Next week, Ray Donovan season 6 episode 6 may make one thing rather clear from the start: Sam Winslow is in a larger pickle than usual. This is a woman who plays within a very dangerous world and because of that, does often get herself in a certain degree of jeopardy.
Yet, moving forward, somehow things are going to be getting even worse for this character. Next week the character will find herself threatened and with that in mind, Ray’s going to have to scramble in order to find some answers … and some of them could be so much darker and more terrifying than he ever bargained for.
In the end, we do think that this episode will once again feature Ray towing the line between a number of different things, and that includes his annual tradition of getting way too close to some of the people who he is actually supposed to be helping. Somehow, the guy just can’t separate himself.
For some more news when it comes to what lies ahead, CarterMatt has the full Ray Donovan season 6 episode 6 synopsis below:
A masked intruder with ties to the mayor makes a threat on Sam’s life. In looking for answers, Ray uncovers more than he bargained for. Now he’s got a target on his back and a friend whom he doesn’t know if he can trust. Searching for their ticket out of the country, Mickey and Bunchy board the Hampton Jitney. Bridget babysits her baby cousin, as Terry can’t stay away from his chance to fight again.
Out of everything that is mentioned here, the one thing we’re the most curious about is how exactly Mickey and Bunchy plan to figure out their escape plan. One of the biggest things that we’ve seen over the course of the past several years is that for one reason or another, Mickey is television’s greatest cockroach. Somehow, someway, he finds a way to continuously emerge through the rubble (reasonably) unscathed. We don’t exactly know precisely how he manages to escape this time around … provided that he does. The thing that makes Mickey compelling is that you never quite know if he’s going to make it out of any season okay. We can envision the show without Jon Voight … but at the same time, we’re not altogether sure that we really want to. A big part of what makes this story so great is the uncertainty of it all.
At the end of this upcoming episode, we’ll be at the halfway point — with that, we imagine that things are going to get even crazier week in and week out.
