Midnight, Texas season 2 episode 6 preview: The Kai story intensifies

Midnight, Texas season 2

Tonight, Midnight, Texas is giving you the first episode in a couple of weeks, and it’s one that is packing in a lot, whether it be personal stories to a theme that is at least somewhat appropriate for this particular time of year. This is a show that likes to pack in the mythology and when you really think about it, they kind of have to given that there is not a whole lot of time left in order to tell them. There are only a few more episodes to go following episode 6, and given that there is no real guarantee that a season 3 will be coming down the road, it mostly has to live in the moment.

So do you want to know what’s coming up next on the NBC series? If so, what we can tell you is that season 2 episode 6 carries with it the title of “No More Mr. Nice Kai,” which we certainly do appreciate from a humor standpoint. (It also makes us think about classic rock, while we’re at it.) We certainly hope that you find some humor in this alone, given that this is probably not going to be the most hilarious episode in the world otherwise. After all, we’re going to be seeing one of the most dangerous and high-stakes episodes of the entire season, one that leaves many residents of the town in grave danger. Meanwhile, everything with Kai is (fittingly) coming to a head and Fiji is going to make a particularly huge decision — one that could have enormous consequences. (Is there any other kind after a huge decision?)

Below, the Midnight, Texas season 2 episode 6 synopsis offers up some more information regarding what is coming up next:

12/07/2018 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Friday) : An unknown force threatens to reveal all the Midnighters’ secrets. Manfred’s suspicion towards Kai intensifies. Fiji embraces Dark Magic to save Bobo once and for all. TV-14 S, V

There are two words within this synopsis that stand out more than any other, and those really should not come as much of a shock: “Dark Magic.” Anytime you see this used on just about any show under the sun, you are almost immediately reminded that dark magic does come with a rather terrible price. This is what we meant by consequences a little bit earlier.

One more thing we’ll remind you of here: If you want to see Midnight, Texas renewed, one of the biggest things to remember here is that you gotta watch live! We understand that it’s hard given that A) it’s on Friday night and B) it is the holiday season, but there are very few other recourses to ensure that the show comes back for another batch of episodes in the future.
