Is Blue Bloods new tonight on CBS? Trouble with Frank, Jamie

Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a new episode of Blue Bloods on CBS tonight? Given everything that we’re hearing about season 9 episode 9, it certainly would be.

Alas, that’s not going to happen tonight. With it being Black Friday, clearly the powers that be over at CBS have decided that they’re better of keeping up waiting for a little bit longer to see precisely what’s coming for Tom Selleck and a number of the other cast members. The next new episode, entitled “Handcuffs,” is coming on November 30 … but you don’t have to wait to get a little more news about it!

With that in mind, we’ve got the official promo for the episode, one that will be teasing a number of the different conflicts that are coming for many of the different characters. At the forefront of this one could be a big argument between Frank Reagan and some people who are closest to him, especially Garrett. After some of his cops in a particular neighborhood find themselves getting arrested, Frank decides to orchestrate a raid, one that leads to a number of people with outstanding warnings getting arrested. This is something that Garrett warns against, but Frank relents and he ends up doing it anyway.

So who is right here? That’s what this episode is going to point out, but for the time being our fear is that Frank is going to put some of his officers at risk for this sort of quick action. Was there a more diplomatic way to take care of the issue? We do understand that officers getting harassed is a bad thing, even if it does come with a certain degree of the territory. Nobody wants to be in a situation where they are being constantly abused. The worst thing that should happen to cops in the field is that they’re subject to bad jokes — similar to the bad ones that are made in any workplace about the boss. Nobody likes an authority figure hanging over them.

How bad could the tension get around the police? Well, Jamie’s going to come to Frank to speak with him about something — there’s no guarantee that it is this particular situation, but we like to think now that Jamie is over the situation from this past episode where he was doubting whether or not he should be Sergeant anymore. Everyone other than him is convinced that he’s perfect for the job.
