Supergirl season 4 episode 7 video: How far will James go?

Now, we should make it really clear here that we don’t think that James is going to join the Children of Liberty for good. He’s not a bad dude! All he is trying to do is uncover the truth about Agent Liberty and then use some of that information in order to ensure that Team Supergirl can get a leg up.
Alas, here is the problem that sometimes comes with being undercover — sometimes, you gotta be in so deep that you end up fooling some of the people you are actually working with. That can be troublesome when Supergirl finds herself in danger during this episode and, because of that, needs James’ help. How much is he going to be able to help her, and is he going to risk the new-found allegiances he has within the group to show his true hand?
Basically, James has some really important decisions to make, and the funny thing here is that he really has made a number of these already. Just by continuing to pursue Agent Liberty this way, he’s done some things that have irked Lena Luthor. She doesn’t want him to be risking himself in this sort of way when taking a hardline stance may be the better move in her eyes. We just think that everyone is doing what they think is right, but decisions have complications and risking Supergirl is the one that James is making here.
Hey, if nothing else, it’s hard to complain about James not having anything to do with this show! We know that this was a common criticism for a while, since he spent a good bit of time floating in the background and not being used for a whole lot other than a couple of personal episodes a season. He’s got a really meaty plotline going on right now, and it’s one that shows that he puts a lot of stock in his social skills to get the job done. He doesn’t have superpowers, so he has to find solutions to problems in a little bit of a different way. Fingers crossed that this idea of his works…
