Blue Bloods season 9 episode 10 spoilers: Eddie takes on a prankster

Want to get a sense of what’s coming on Blue Bloods season 9 episode 10? This episode, entitled “Authority Figures,” is not going to air until December 7, but it does already look as though there is a good bit to unpack here.

Before we talk about any particular storyline here, let’s go ahead and share the official Blue Bloods season 9 episode 10 synopsis below. After all, it does feel like it’s going to be a nice starting-off point to what lies ahead:

“Authority Figures” – When a video surfaces of officers partaking in a clear case of entrapment, Frank focuses on finding the cop who leaked the video. Also, Eddie retaliates against a co-worker who is pranking Jamie; Danny and Baez investigate the murder of a tabloid writer who worked in the hip-hop scene; and Erin gives a high-profile case to a young ADA under her tutelage, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Dec. 7 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

One of the biggest orders of business for this episode is going to be giving us a little bit of a chance to see some interesting conflict with Eddie at the workplace. After all, one of the biggest things that we’ve wondered about for a good while here is whether or not the secret about Jamie and Eddie’s relationship could get out before they decide to announce it themselves. Just based on some of this preliminary information here, it does feel as though the odds are fairly high that we could see this happen this very week! At some point, somebody in this precinct is going to start to wonder why Eddie is being so protective of the boss … especially when it’s the typical MO to hate the boss.

As for some of the other storylines…

There is something curious to us about the Erin storyline just from the vantage point of her own personal evolution as a character. Think back to where she was during the first season compared to where she is now. This is someone who is far up the career ladder and now she’s at the point where she can take a young ADA under her wing. Granted, it is somewhat of a risk for her to hand down a case of great magnitude to someone who may not be able to fully handle it, but sooner or later, doesn’t she have to trust someone and see what they are capable of?
