Is Station 19 new tonight on ABC? Where the show will pick back up

Station 19

Is Station 19 new tonight on ABC? It certainly would be nice to get a little bit more of the show, wouldn’t it?

After all, just remember for a moment the way that this past episode concluded! In the closing minutes of that installment we ended up seeing Captain Sullivan and Andy Herrera be put in a position where their lives were put on the line. It seemed as though they were effectively blown off into a ravine, and it’s not 100% clear if they are going to be able to survive that.

When the series does pick back up, what we are expecting at the moment is to see these two characters finding a way to survive — even though that’s not going to be easy. They are probably injured and, more than likely, the windstorm is still going to be going. Their goal for most of this episode is going to be trying to figure out a way in which to handle some of the extremely-dangerous circumstances around them; then, they’ll try to get out of there or at least signal for help.

One of the things that would be nice is if the other members of Station 19 are able to find them and then track them down … but there certainly isn’t any guarantee of that.

Why isn’t Station 19 on?

There is no new episode tonight, and the #1 reason for that is because last week was the fall finale. There are, more than likely, going to be new episodes at some point in January or February, but ABC has not officially confirmed a return date yet. That’s somewhat a surprise, mostly because it made sense for the network to try to announce something a little bit earlier. Doesn’t that benefit them more to have some of that news out there? We at least like to think so.

Of course, the second reason why there is no new episode on is simply because we’re in the midst of Thanksgiving! Even if last week wasn’t the fall finale, ABC still would not have put a new episode of this show on the air tonight. They value their ratings and there is almost a 0% chance that Station 19 would have performed well tonight. Remember that people have Thanksgiving festivities and, to go along with that, they also are probably preparing for Black Friday. There is a pretty good reason why the majority of television networks choose to not program this particular night. Why run the risk of hurting your own ratings when you really don’t have to in the end?
