The Resident season 2 fall finale video: Conrad’s father in peril

What’s going on over this episode? It’s rather hard to actually know the proper place to start!
1. Conrad’s father is in danger – It seems as though Marshall is going to be suffering in the midst of a medical crisis and his son has to find a way to be there for him. However, that’s not an easy thing to do given that Conrad really doesn’t know all that much about his father and hasn’t for some time. Yet, does he at least understand the importance of his moment? Marshall may be scared and with that, he may need his son in order to make it through what he’s struggling with.
2. The wedding of Devon and Priya – This is something we’ve been building towards for a while and at least based on the promo, we’re going to see the traditional ceremony. It looks beautiful! Yet, there are no guarantees that it will end up that way given that Devon does have so much baggage now due to everything that’s been going on the past several weeks. The presence of Julian, in many different ways, has upended all sorts of stuff at the hospital.
3. What’s going on with Quovadis? – The medical-device company has been lurking underneath the surface throughout this season — they’re basically the big bads here in that they have worked Chastain and many other local hospitals in a way that ensures their own personal needs are met. They’re greedy and powerful and as it turns out, Julian hasn’t known the full story with them. That’s going to come to a head in this episode and you will be left to wonder whether or not that character will be sticking around — personally, we want to think that this is a given, but with a show like this and a situation this intense, it’s hard to ever know for sure.
The Resident seems to be leaving almost everything it can out on the table for the fall finale and if you love this show, there’s a ton to be thrilled about with that. You want shows to really leave it all on the line and set itself up well to go from one big story to the next. It means that they aren’t resting on their laurels, and that they are continuing to take risks. The events in this finale may end up being some of the biggest risks of all.
