Do you want to see what is coming up on The Conners episode 6? Let’s just say that this is a story about fun — and chickens. The title here is “One Flew Over the Conners’ Nest,” and the story here is going to be one of the more ridiculous ones of the season. After all, it’s not often that we have some sort of thought-provoking storyline about a chicken coop.

With Mark and Mary’s help, Jackie convinces Dan to build a chicken coop in the backyard so the family can eat organic eggs, but from a bird’s-eye view, it appears that she may have ulterior motives. Becky meets with Andrea for the first time since the surrogacy mishap, and Darlene is forced to deal with a sleazy customer at her casino job.

This episode is going to be an important one just because it offers up a chance to touch on events from tonight, but also ones that could be somewhat topical and relatable at the same time. Take, for example, with Darlene — how many times have we all dealt with people at work who are rather unpleasant? The whole goal of this episode, by and large, seems to be trying to find a way to see how the Conners react to strange situations.

Does The Conners still have the buzz that it once did?

Not so much, but in some way, that may be to the team’s advantage. One of the things that we do have to remember here with this particular show is that it doesn’t actually need all that buzz and controversy to be successful. It just needs to be reliant mostly on interesting, story-of-the-week plots that grab the interest of its viewers. It doesn’t have to be crazy-ambitious all of the time. As long as it is focusing on things that are relatable and easy for its viewers to digest, it is going to be okay in the end.

We’re going to continue to say here virtually what we’ve said all along when it comes to The Conners — so long as the ratings stay where they are with this show and the cast and crew remain interest, we’re certainly confident that it could stick around on the air for a while. This is just something to take a wait-and-see approach on.
