Want to know some of what’s coming on Law & Order: SVU season 20 episode 10? If so, we should start with the return date!

As you would imagine, next week the series is going to be off of the air for one major reason: It’s Thanksgiving, and there is virtually no reason to program the show on a night when there are simply not going to be a whole lot of people around in order to actually watch it. The best thing that you can probably try to do is capitalize on when the most potential viewers are around, and that is why the next new episode, entitled ‘Alta Kockers,” is coming on the air on November 29. This may very well be the final episode of the first part of the season (the fall portion) — if it’s not, we’ll have more verification on the matter before too long.

So what is actually coming when it comes to this story? Below, CarterMatt offers up the SVU season 20 episode 10 synopsis with a few more details as to what’s coming:

11/29/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Thursday) : The investigation into a promising new author’s death leads to a decades-old secret kept between two reclusive brothers. Starring Mariska Hargitay, Ice T, Kelli Giddish, Peter Scanavino and Philip Winchester. Guest starring Judd Hirsch (Joseph Edelman), Wallace Shawn (Benjamin Edelman), Calhoun Koenig (Bobbi O’Rourke), Jayce Bartok (Walter Evans) and David McElwee (Will Glover). TV-14 D, L, V

So what does “Alta Kockers” mean? You guess is that this is a Yiddish translation for “old-timers.” Yet, that’s just a guess since the spelling of it is debatable. Granted, if the two brothers at the center of the case are a little bit older, there may be a certain degree of sense to this. Ultimately, we do think that this could be a great episode just because of what it represents more so than anything else: Family. It’s a chance to dive into and learn something a little bit more about this relationship. There has to be a reason why these two have chosen to kept some sort of secret for as long as they have, and that is something that the SVU team is going to be looking that — among many other things.

Above all else, one of the things that we’re really excited about here is an appearance from none other than Judd Hirsch. The acclaimed actor has done so many great things over the years, and this marks an opportunity in order to do something that is a little bit different. There are few better gigs out there for a guest spot, after all, than appearing on SVU.
