Next week, Criminal Minds season 14 episode 8 is going to be coming on the air — and that could be quite a challenge for the show.

Why is that? Well, it doesn’t have a whole lot to do with the actual story of the episode. It has a little bit more to do with the fact that this is an episode is airing the night before Thanksgiving. More often than not, this is a time in which shows struggle when it comes to ratings; given that this is a series that is already facing a certain degree of ratings troubles, we really hope everyone out there finds a way to still watch live. Is there really a way in which everyone can just push their Thanksgiving preparation around for an hour to check out the show? We really hope so, mostly because that could be thing that helps to get us a season 15. That is something that, for the time being, is very much in flux.
Now, let’s get to some of what is actually coming up on this particular episode. Adam Rodriguez is directing a story named “Ashley” that is going to involve a dangerous case in New Hampshire — probably one of the few cases like this they get up there given that New Hampshire can be a pretty small place. Beyond just this, we’re going to be seeing a personal story for one David Rossi as he tries his best to figure out whether or not there is something more there with his Krystall — they’ve got a rather-long history and it’s something that he thinks can be repaired. Can it? It’s not going to be easy, given that sometimes the wounds of the past are far too deep and far too steep to heal.
Below, CarterMatt offers up the Criminal Minds season 14 episode 6 synopsis with some more information on what’s coming:
“Ashley” – The BAU investigates a double homicide and kidnapping in New Hampshire. Also, Rossi’s plans to elevate his relationship with Krystall (Gail O’Grady) don’t go as planned, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Nov. 21 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series star Adam Rodriguez directed the episode.
Hopefully, this isn’t the last time that we see Krystall this season — there really should be at least a few more opportunities to see her turn up, provided that Rossi doesn’t end up blowing it here.
