The sad news is that following tonight’s installment, you will be waiting for a good while to get Michael Weatherly and company back in action. The network is taking the next couple of weeks off, which is a chance for us to recharge, check out old episodes again, and prepare still for some of what’s coming next — which, by the way, is going to be on Monday, December 3. Hopefully, there are going to be at least a couple of episodes coming up on the series next month, especially since it would be nice to fill in some programming where there isn’t any on some other networks. More and more networks are going to be ending the first half of the season a little bit early.
Alas, there isn’t all that much officially confirmed about the December 3 episode just yet save for the title — “Separation.” There is a sense of heartbreak in that alone, and that’s without us even knowing anything about the case itself. Personally, we’re crossing our fingers that we get an opportunity to see some important story for a TAC member because that is when this show is at its best — we know that the writers do a good job of getting us to care about cases, but this series has a tendency to push things over the top when they also bring these into the worlds of some of the individual people. There’s still so much more we could learn about people like Benny, Danny, and especially Taylor, given that we still don’t know a lot about her save for the fact that she’s a mom and that she has a professional history with Marissa.
As for the state of Bull season 3 as a whole
As of right now, the ratings for the series are such that we do feel confident over the show being renewed. We understand that this may feel a little bit counter-intuitive to say this when the ratings are down versus last year, but you do have to look at things in terms of context. Season 3 is on at a later time and without anywhere near as good of a lead-in. It was almost a given that the ratings would slip a little bit.
