Into the Badlands season 3 return date: Should news come soon?

Let’s face it: If you love Into the Badlands, you’ve been waiting for a season 3 return-date announcement for a really long time. The first half of the season came out in the summer following the first half of Fear the Walking Dead season 4 but since that time, the show has unfortunately fallen off the radar, more or less. We keep hearing talk that it will be released at some point in the new year, but there are still plenty of questions as to when.

Personally, we’re still hoping for an early-January launch so that we’ve got some fantastic action to guide us through some of the holder months of the year — basically, the perfect time in which to put great television on the air. If that happens, though, you have to imagine that there’s going to be some sort of announcement soon … right?

In the event that Into the Badlands season 3 does end up premiering in January or February, expected some sort of information over the next few weeks. AMC needs to get a promotional push ready, mostly so that there is a hope that the ratings could be there. That’s something the series certainly needs in order to get some more episodes down the line. (The biggest thing that we are afraid of when it comes to the show is that this long layoff could end up hurting its performance as a whole.)

As for what is going to be coming on the second half of Into the Badlands season 3, we certainly do expect Sunny’s decision when it comes to Pilgrim to have some enormous consequences. We know that he was willing to do whatever he could for his kid, but sometimes, actions have bizarre and dangerous reactions within this world. Beyond just that, though, we also expect more of what we’ve come to love — incredible action, unique characters, and a little bit of humor. It is the uniqueness of Into the Badlands that we’re missing the most with the series off the air.

If for whatever reason season 3 does premiere later than January, that just means that we could be waiting for a rather long time still to get some more news on what’s next. We’ve heard, in the end, conflicting information out there and it would just be nice to have some official confirmation.
