As we start to look ahead towards MacGyver season 3 episode 8, one threat stands head and shoulders above the rest: The Ghost. This is a notorious threat who has surfaced on a number of occasions in the past; hence the name, though, seeing him in the forefront has never really been a top priority. Could that change in this episode? It’s possible, but to use a completely-terrible pun, we don’t want to give up the ghost here just yet…

What matters as we approach this episode is that Mac is going to be offered a chance to be able to locate the Ghost and end some of the back-and-forth battling once and for all. Of course, he’s going to take advantage of that — but is he in for more than he’s bargained for? Given how well this character has been able to avoid detection, it’s fair to wonder if they have yet another just-in-case plan figured out. We like to think of The Ghost as a grown-up, evil version of Kevin from Home Alone who has just set up random booby-traps all around him in the event that someone comes close. Then, he deploys all of them and finds a way to keep himself safe. Unlike Kevin, though, on the other side of this he probably needs to find a new hideout and go completely off the grid. Unlike other ghosts — or at least ghosts as we often refer to them — this one cannot stay in the same place for too long.
For some specific news as to what is coming in this episode, we suggest checking out the official MacGyver season 3 episode 8 synopsis below:
“Revenge + Catacombs + Le Fantome” – MacGyver and the team set off on a dangerous capture operation after an Irish military intelligence officer approaches them claiming to know the whereabouts of “The Ghost,” a lethal bomb maker whom Mac has been hunting for years, on MACGYVER, Friday, Nov. 16 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Will there be a side-story to this episode beyond what CBS is giving up here? Probably, but at the moment the network’s clearly being coy. We’d like to think of it as some sort of Bozer-centric comedic subplot that helps to give the show its necessary lightness, but that is just us playing out events comedically in our head.
