Today, NBC confirmed that on Friday, January 4 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, the show is going to officially kick off with a two-hour premiere. From there, we anticipate that there are going to be new episodes every Friday for the remainder of the season. This is still a 22-episode season, so the network is going to have to put a lot of stories out there without many breaks (which we are thankful for)!

We just know that for us, we’re slightly bummed about the Friday night timeslot because now, two of our favorite shows in The Blacklist and Hawaii Five-0 are going to be in regular competition with each other. Isn’t there a way to just create more hours for Fridays so that they don’t air at the same time and both show keep their dedicated audiences? Yes, we would gladly manipulate time and space in order to ensure that everyone is able to watch both shows live and keep those ratings numbers high!

For those who do want a little more information regarding The Blacklist season 6, we suggest to just take a look at the official logline below:

Following the startling revelation that Raymond “Red” Reddington isn’t who he says he is, Elizabeth Keen is torn between the relationship she’s developed with the man assumed to be her father and her desire to get to the bottom of years of secrets and lies. Meanwhile, Red leads Liz and the FBI to some of the most strange and dangerous criminals yet, growing his empire and eliminating rivals in the process. All throughout, Liz and Red engage in an uneasy cat-and-mouse game in which lines will be crossed and the truth will be revealed.

The obvious crux of season 6 for Liz will be figuring out who Reddington truly is, while also doing her part to ensure that he cannot pick up on what she knows. The longer that she keeps the secret from him, the more effectively she will work. Meanwhile, we also wonder just how many other people she will clue in to what’s going on. It’s a dangerous game; she may need help in order to properly determine the truth, but at the same time she also needs secrecy. If she tells someone who Reddington can manipulate, that’s certainly not great news for her since he likes to keep his secrets buried.
