Chicago Med season 4 episode 8 preview: Is Will, Natalie’s relationship going to fizzle?

To use a medical analogy (it seems right, given this show), there’s been a disease that’s gone untreated between these two for the better part of the past few weeks. That disease’s name is Ray. The longer that it festers, the worse that it gets. Heck, it’s even causing some actual, physical symptoms with Will — he’s got the ulcer and beyond that, he’s also scurrying around paranoid, desperate to keep his covert operation with Chicago PD under wraps.
We’ve already made our feeling on this storyline clear — it really doesn’t make sense for him to keep it from Natalie for this long — but hopefully, 4×08 is the time in which that changes. Granted, there’s no guarantee that their relationship will survive, either. It’s one thing that Will’s been doing a risky operation with Jay and PD and it’s another thing altogether doing it and not saying anything. Did he think she would never find out? She’s a doctor and with that, she’s highly intelligent. She’s also around him enough to know when he’s being shifty. She may not have loved the Ray operation but odds are she may have went along with it … or at least not stood in his way. Now, the only cure for the disease between the two may be an unfavorable plan of treatment – a break up. Let’s hope not, but you gotta expect the worse in these kind of situations.

11/14/2018 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : Dr. Charles struggles to convince Dr. Choi that surgery isn’t always the answer. Dr. Rhodes finds himself in hot water with Goodwin when he disobeys her direct order. April becomes frustrated with Maggie when she continues to question her leadership role as the stand-in charge nurse. Dr. Manning suspects Dr. Halstead is keeping something from her. TV-14 L
The one big takeaway from tonight that could factor into next week’s story is the return of Ethan’s ex Vicky Glass and what that means for him — and the relationship he has with April. Did you really think that the writers introduced this storyline tonight just so that they could pretend it never happened? This has to play some sort of role moving forward, even if what that role remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, it’s hard to say much about Dr. Rhodes and Goodwin — hasn’t he done this same sort of thing at least 800 times already?
