Blue Bloods season 9 episode 7 preview: Baker’s husband in danger; Danny’s crisis

Do you want to know what’s coming on Blue Bloods season 9 episode 7? Brace yourself, especially if you’re a Donnie Wahlberg fan. This episode could prove to be one of the most difficult of the Danny Reagan character’s entire run on the show, at least when it comes to grappling with some of his anger and pain. He’s got a reason for these emotions, and we’re getting to a point where trying to control them could prove rather difficult.

So why is this story going to be so hard on Danny? We don’t think that we have to spend a whole lot of time setting this up anymore; after all, CarterMatt has the Blue Bloods season 9 episode 7 synopsis with some further information:

“By Hook or by Crook” – Things get personal for Danny when Luis Delgado (Lou Diamond Phillips), the drug cartel hitman responsible for torching his house, resurfaces. Also, an attack on an officer in the line of duty directly impacts a member of Frank’s team; Eddie reluctantly introduces Jamie to her mother, Lena (Christine Ebersole); and Erin deals with the consequences of her new role as boss, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Nov. 9 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This is clearly an episode with a lot of important stuff in it. It’s a great chance to see Donnie completely in the thick of it as an actor, facing off against another incredible performer in Lou Diamond Phillips. Beyond just that, it’s a chance to also see Eddie’s mother and how she feels about Jamie and their engagement. Add in there the big Erin story, and this seems like a Blue Bloods episode where there really is something for everyone depending on which character you like to watch.

As for Danny and Delgado, the big question we wonder is this: Was the latter really responsible for Linda’s death? During the premiere, there was a moment that made us wonder.

In other news… Baker’s crisis

The promo that aired after tonight featured a story involving two officers down, and one of them just so happens to be Baker’s husband. That seems like it’s going to be emotional, especially since Baker has given so much to the department over the years. If you love Abigail Hawk, you’re going to love this one.
