Homecoming season 2 premiere date speculation for Julia Roberts, cast
First and foremost, we should start here with this: A reminder that there will, in fact, be a Homecoming season 2 coming up in the future. This was first confirmed by Amazon a good while ago, really back when the series was officially ordered more than a year ago. This two-season order was clearly a move done out of faith for the show’s future, which made sense given the presence of Sam Esmail (Mr. Robot) behind the scenes to go along with Julia Roberts as the show’s star. This is something that Amazon has been looking to have for some time — big-ticket items featuring known names that have some element of mass-market appeal. ever since Jennifer Salke was brought on in order to lead the streaming property, this has been at the top of the wishlist.
As for when Homecoming season 2 could actually premiere, meanwhile, there are some further questions worth wondering and discussing here. Given that the two seasons were ordered at once, there’s been plenty of lead-up time for this show. We’d certainly love to see it back on the air again in the fall of 2019, but that’s totally up to the forces behind the scenes. We know that streaming properties in general often are very patient when it comes to getting some of their series on the air and we certainly imagine that this is going to be another example of that. Homecoming is a series that really doesn’t need to rush anything, given that there are likely going to be more and more viewers who are finding it and discovering it in the weeks ahead. That’s often the case with new scripted properties on streaming networks.
One thing that probably also benefits Homecoming on some level? The fact that there are so many people who are currently subscribing to Amazon Prime for the holidays. This is, after all, when people like to get their Christmas shopping done in advance. If watching this show is an aftereffect to people already having the accounts, it is certainly a good one.
