Grey’s Anatomy season 15 episode 6 review: Back, but still dead

Grey's Anatomy season 15 episode 6

Tonight, Grey’s Anatomy season 15 episode 6 delivered what was a story about death — one that included a few small cameos at the same time.

Did we really see Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Chyler Leigh, and others on the series tonight? Not exactly, but we did at least hav ea chance to see some images of them from back when they were alive. Our feeling is that these people were imposed in using past footage, mostly because it’s hard to imagine producers getting all of these people back for just a few tiny seconds.

Yet, we don’t want these “cameos” to also take away from what was a pretty important story elsewhere. After all, this installment gave you an opportunity to see Teddy come very close to telling Owen the truth about her pregnancy. She just couldn’t bring herself to do it after seeing what he was going through with Betty’s disappearance. Amelia’s worried that she is off somewhere dead, and given her history with addiction there is a tangible reason for some of this worry.

Meanwhile, elsewhere Link was doing his best in order to appeal to Meredith, but at the moment, it doesn’t seem as though she is altogether interested. She continues her blind-dating, but it’s not going altogether well for her right now. Link is a viable suitor for her heart, but interestingly, this was not the relationship that had the most movement in this episode. Instead, we’re talking about Levi and Nico. Tonight, they kissed for the first time, but soon after that Levi confessed that Nico was the first guy he’d ever kissed. Nico then realized that this is not something that he really wanted. We do wonder why he thought Levi was more experienced, but we also don’t think that this story is over.

If there is one relationship we are especially worried about, it is the one between Miranda and Ben. After all, these characters were already in trouble and Bailey’s still realizing that her marriage may need to go in order for her stress to eventually be under control.

CarterMatt Verdict

Overall, Grey’s Anatomy season 15 episode 6 delivered an epic, dramatic episode — and it’s hard to be anything other than emotional with what we saw in the closing minutes. We honored some of the dead on the show tonight and, moving forward, we hope to see some of these people living their lives to the fullest.
