STAR season 3 episode 6 preview: The story ahead in ‘Ante Up’

Next week, STAR season 3 episode 6 is going to give you a chance to see some controversy, some secrets, and also a much larger story when it comes to what’s going on with Cassie. There are some issues that are bubbling underneath the surface and sooner rather than later, it’s fair to expect some of this to come to full boil.

In an effort to boost ticket sales, Mateo brings on controversial rapper Lil Dini (guest star Kosine), who clashes with Take 3. Star and Noah confide in each other about their relationship issues and Simone is put in a sticky situation when Jackson is cast as her co-star in a movie. Meanwhile, Derek’s keeping a secret, Cotton’s suspicions about Cassie grow and Xander (guest star Chad Michael Murray) pushes Cassie to find the rat in her organization in the all-new “Ante Up” episode of STAR airing Wednesday, Nov. 7 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. This episode is looking to be a big one for a number of different characters but one thing feels fairly obvious: If Cassie doesn’t find the rat soon, things are going to spiral. There’s already a lot of chaos with some of these stories and we have a feeling that it’s going to get worse … at least until the winter finale. That’s when there’s typically a peak, and things at least settle down briefly before spiking and getting a little bit crazy.

On a larger scale, one of the biggest questions that we wonder is whether or not the show will continue to hold its momentum. For the time being, we’re confident that it will get a season 4 … but nothing is 100% guaranteed.
