In the sneak peek below from Wednesday night’s new episode, you learn the truth about why Angelina voted to send Lyrsa home rather than Natalie — it wasn’t that she disagreed with the vote. Instead, it was that she was so interested in Natalie’s jacket that she thought that if it appeared as though she was voting with her, she’d give it up after the fact. That didn’t happen. Now, Angelina remains in the game, still desperate for some extra warmth but with no one willing to give it up.

Also, she’s made an enemy out of Lyrsa for no real game-related reason. As she explains in a confessional, she doesn’t trust Angelina and feels like her vote, over a jacket, shows her priorities. While we think that she would have probably been the next target anyway if this tribe goes to Tribal Council, this probably just amplifies and accelerates things further. This makes it potentially appealing for her to want to make a move soon if there is another tribe swap down the road. We’re not sure that Mike is so close to Lyrsa and Nick that you contemplate throwing a challenge, but it may be something that at least enters someone’s mind when it would not have otherwise.

All in all, the continued battle for jackets may make this episode even more appealing than it would have been otherwise.

Happy Halloween! Remember to watch Survivor tonight at 8:00 p.m. Eastern … even if we are gearing up for a holiday filled with trick-or-treating and candy.
