Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 8 spoilers: Chi McBride’s big Thanksgiving episode

Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 8 is going to be the big Thanksgiving episode on November 16; based on early estimates, this one should be fun! This is the much-anticipated episode written by actor Chi McBride, and it’s going to give us a chance to see Grover alongside his parents. There will be a case still in the midst of everything, but this is one of the more personal cases we’ve had a chance to see for the character this fall. Given that Louis Gossett Jr. and Gladys Knight are on board, all signs point towards this being fun!

“Lele pū nā manu like” – Thanksgiving brings Grover’s parents (guest stars Louis Gossett Jr. and Gladys Knight) and brother Percy, Jr. (Clifton Powel) to Oahu for a visit tainted by sibling rivalry, and Five-0 investigates a thief who is crushed to death by an empty safe, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Nov. 16 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Episode is written by series star Chi McBride.

You often learn a lot about a person based on where they came from, and that is the general appeal for this particular episode, as well. You should get a great opportunity to see and understand better Grover as a person based on who his parents are, and seeing a little bit of family bickering should prove to be rather interesting. We’re certainly no stranger to watching bickering on Hawaii Five-0 — though there’s a chance that this may be a little more intense than some of your standard fare with Steve and Danny.
