Ink Master season 11 episode 10 video: Can the artists match the coaches?

Coming up on Tuesday night’s Ink Master season 11 episode 10, the remaining artists are going to have one of their toughest tasks yet. The have to find a way to tattoo a design of one of the coaches — not only that, but they have to try to match their own quality.

This is one of those challenges that on paper, seems set up for some of these artists to fail. It’s a reminder of just how far they still have to go before they are at the top of the field. You’re having to basically try to match up someone who is working within their own style and skill, and that in itself is a near-impossible task. Add to it the rigors of the competition, it’s all the harder.

Yet, there’s an incentive if some of these artists can impress the judges: Safety. If they fail, they remain at risk of some of what is coming up after the fact. We do at least think that these designs leave open a little bit of room for creativity for the contestants, depending of course on what they choose to do in the amount of time that they have. Maybe you go with a slightly different background, or maybe you choose to make something a little bit bolder.

Entering this episode, the most-likely wild card here is probably going to be Kyle, just because he’s coming off of losing his brother and it may be a little bit harder for him to focus because of that. The other members of Team Cleen are going to need to do their part to be a support system for them, since the last thing that they can really afford to do at this point is lose another artist. You don’t want to be so outnumbered that you lower your chances of getting good skull picks later.
