Chicago PD season 6 episode 8 spoilers: Atwater faces a tough choice

When you’re someone in Atwater’s position, it is often hard to figure out the right thing to do. As an officer, he’s bound to follow the letter of the law; however, sometimes doing this doesn’t actually help those around him. On many occasions, it can make things so much worse. This episode is going to put him at a crossroads in the midst of yet another drug operation (there have been many this season), and Kevin will have to decide what he wants without a whole lot of time presumably to think about it.

We certainly do think that, insofar as interesting character stories go, this episode will provide one. LaRoyce Hawkins has shown over the years that he can grapple with some tough, challenging material and this could be another example of it. This is already someone who has been through a lot, including moving some of his family close to him out of the city for the sake of their safety. You do have to wonder if this could eventually lead to a breaking point … and if that breaking point is right about here.
