Before we say too much else, let’s go ahead and give you the full synopsis for this November 14 episode — it should offer up some perspective on what’s ahead:

11/14/2018 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : Dr. Charles struggles to convince Dr. Choi that surgery isn’t always the answer. Dr. Rhodes finds himself in hot water with Goodwin when he disobeys her direct order. April becomes frustrated with Maggie when she continues to question her leadership role as the stand-in charge nurse. Dr. Manning suspects Dr. Halstead is keeping something from her. TV-14 L

So what is the secret that Dr. Halstead is keeping? Well, based on where things are at the moment with the show, it seems to be tied to the undercover operation that he’s tied into with Chicago PD. There has been a part of this that is deeply maddening for us as a viewer, mostly because we think that Natalie could handle this information. While we don’t think that she would like what he’s doing, at the same time it’s fairly clear that Will doesn’t like it, either. He’s doing this because he feels like there aren’t too many other viable choices for him to get out of this predicament … especially since he’s roped into it so deep with the wedding venue. (Does he actually think that he is going to be able to avoid being a part of this forever? That just feels, for the most part, to be unlikely.)
