911 season 2 episode 8 preview: Buck returns to dating world

9-1-1 season 2 episode 2

911 season 2 episode 8 next week carries with it the title of “Buck, Actually,” and we think that’s a good indicator of what is coming. After all, Buck’s dating life is about to be put in the spotlight in a way that it hasn’t been in a good while now. We’re excited to see some different twists and turns as we run through this story, mostly because it’s probably not going to be easy for him. (After all, this sort of thing isn’t easy for anyone!) While there are a number of people who may be initially interested in him because of his job, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they will like for the person that he is.

Below, the 911 season 2 episode 8 synopsis offers up some more information in terms of what we can expect to see moving forward:

Buck jumps back into the dating scene but fears he will return to his pre-Abby scoundrel-ous ways, while questioning if Maddie and Chimney are more than just friends. Emergencies involve a woman goes to great extremes on top of a freeway overpass to get the attention of her husband; A couple are involved in a car accident on their wedding day and a first date goes down the toilet in the all-new “Buck, Actually” episode of 9-1-1 airing Monday, Nov. 5 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (NIN-208) (TV-14 D, L, S, V)

Beyond the relationships in this episode, it feels pretty clear that the emergencies within this episode are entertaining within themselves. One of the challenges that it seems like the writers room has here, week in and week out, is how to top themselves. This is a show that wants to make many of their various emergencies as big and dramatic as possible, and we know that this very thing does come with a certain degree of advantages. Yet, it may also make coming up with new twists and innovations more difficult over time.
