Gotham season 5 premiere date revealed; episode count upped slightly
Today, Fox went ahead and chose to give answers for everyone out there interested in a Gotham season 5 premiere date.
When’s it back on the air? Think in terms of Thursday, January 3 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, where it will lead into the second season of The Orville. The Seth MacFarlane science-fiction series is actually going to premiere on December 30 following the NFL, and will shift over to this date for episode 2.
Fox has also confirmed that the fifth season of Gotham is now going to run for twelve episodes, which is two longer than the ten previously announced. That gives the show a little more time for an exciting, thorough conclusion while also allowing Fox to program this timeslot with something different come the spring.
To go along with the Gotham premiere date, here are some other important dates to know.
January 2 – 24 Hours to Hell and Back, Gordon Ramsay’s cooking show that’s an evolution-of-sorts to Kitchen Nightmares, will return with season 2 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. It will be followed by the US version of popular Korean series The Masked Singer.
January 14 – The Passage season 2 is going to air at 9:00 p.m. Eastern, and it will temporarily displace 911. The first responder drama is going to return at midseason.
February 15 – Following the conclusion of Hell’s Kitchen, new legal drama Proven Innocent starring Kelsey Grammer will premiere. This would probably look like a bad timeslot at first glance, but Fox Fridays are on the incline thanks to Last Man Standing, now the most-popular series on the night.
March 3 – The third season of Cosmos is going to come on the air; it’s still incredible to us that this series is finding some room on the schedule to shine, given how few other information-based programs tend to excel in primetime.
