The X Factor UK results: Was Brendan Murray or LMA Choir eliminated?

X Factor

Tonight, The X Factor UK results had a chance to deliver some surprises — which we do often get at this point in the competition. We’re in the thick of the live shows and we don’t precisely know how the British public is voting just yet. All we have as evidence are the performances and the results from what we saw this past week.

So who was eliminated first on the show tonight? This one is somewhat sad. Janice Robinson, despite closing out the show last night (typically a side of positive voter momentum), found herself saying goodbye to the competition. She didn’t get a chance to fight for her time on the show and with that in mind, we’re said that things ended that way for her.

At the time of her exit, though, it feels clear that voters had already made up her mind about her. We do think that she has more talent than some remaining artists, but she didn’t have the same sort of mainstream appeal that we saw with some other singers.

Yet, the show must go on.

Who was eliminated next?

It was Brendan Murray vs. LMA Choir in the final face-off to determine who was going to be sticking around this season. This one had some good intensity to it! Yet, it felt like the choir was going to be in danger throughout just because it’s so hard to see them going far this season, let alone having a career after the show. Brendan at least has a chance.

In the end, we did lose LMA Choir tonight over Brendan, but the silver lining here seems to be that Robbie Williams does want to work with the choire at some point in the future — so they at least have that to look forward to down the line.
