Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 6: Why was McGarrett arrested?

In this promo, you get a tease as to what the case-of-the-week plot is going to revolve around — a deadly multiple homicide that is going to lead to McGarrett taking some risks in his evacuation. He’ll be doing so with the best of intentions — doesn’t he always have that? — but as it turns out, not everyone is going to be altogether fond of the way in which he does business. That’s what leads to him being in handcuffs, and at the same time what leads to Danny mocking him for it. Judging from Danny’s reaction, we do have a particularly-hard time thinking that this is a serious issue.
As for what else is happening in this episode that we’re not seeing here, we’re a little bit shocked that CBS is not hyping up the return of Ian Anthony Dale to the series given that Adam’s case was the cliffhanger on this past episode. Tani found out the truth about the weapon and while she may not want to have to tell McGarrett about it, what other choice does she have now? It’s clear, at least based on mere evidence alone, that Adam was involved in the death of his sister. There may be a larger story here, but that will present itself more over time.
