The Good Doctor season 2 episode 5 video: Shaun visits Dr. Blaise

In the new video below (via Entertainment Weekly), you can see Freddie Highmore’s character doing his part to figure out how to help Dr. Glassman. This is a cause that he is actively engaged in, as he’s doing just about everything that he can in order to make sure that his recovery happens as soon as humanly possible. That is one of the reasons why he is looking at just about every possible trick of the trade in order to ensure that it can happen.
Shaun does seem to misread some of what Dr. Blaise says, however, about the concept of dangling a carrot above Dr. Glassman, and thinks as a result of this that he needs to figure out some sort of reward to ensure that Aaron does actually get out of bed and start working on some physical therapy. From our vantage point, though, the one thing Glassman needs more than anything else is patience and support. He needs a lot of time and also a lot of care so that he feels ready to actually take the next step in his recovery. This can be a difficult process, especially for someone like Shaun that wants to fix everything now. That’s just a natural part of this DNA.
We’ll ultimately see what the future holds on this particular episode of The Good Doctor — yet, for now, consider us very much intrigued. We want to see Dr. Glassman get better, but Shaun needs to be aware that he could push him too far and ultimately make things worse.
