The Flash season 5 episode 5 spoilers: Rag Doll makes his debut
To go along with that, Rag Doll is actually being played by a reasonably-familiar face, especially if you watched America’s Got Talent this past summer: Troy James. This is a guy who excelled as a contortionist, and had a real knack for freaking people out with both the way he moved his body and the reactions that he specifically tried to elicit. He wasn’t afraid to touch on just how freaky certain parts of his job were. We do know that the producers of The Flash were rather interested in getting a specific contortionist for this role, mostly so that they could rely on real movements for this character rather than solely use CGI.

While it remains to be seen whether or not Rag Doll is the most intimidating meta that we’ve seen on the series before, they certainly could be one of the creepiest.

BARRY AND IRIS TEAM UP TO STOP A DANGEROUS META NAMED RAG DOLL
Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) lets something slip about the future that devastates Iris (Candice Patton). In an attempt to distract his wife, Barry (Grant Gustin) asks Iris to team up to stop a new meta, Rag Doll (guest star Troy James). Meanwhile, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) learns something about her father.

By the time that we make it to the end of this episode, we should have a chance to know if this is a character who will actually stick around. Typically, early-season metahumans have a habit of sticking around for a short period of time.
