Gotham season 5 photos: New looks at Jeremiah, Hugo Strange
The first one (via Sean Pertwee’s Instagram) here is exciting, largely because you’re getting a good sense that Cameron Monaghan is now going all-in with the green hair to be Jeremiah. Given that he is no longer a part of Shameless, we imagine that allows him to be a little bit more creative with his look along with having more time to do some other gigs. While we’re not sure that we’re going to see the character referred to all that much as the Joker, we’ll still get to see plenty of him plotting and causing some chaos. We’re all about that given that this is one of Batman’s greatest villains — also, by the end of the series we are going to see Batman in some shape or form.
To go along with this preview of Monaghan, why not also take a look at Hugo Strange below? B.D. Wong is going to be back for the home stretch of the series and that’s certainly exciting — we’ve long felt like he was one of the best casts possible for the show given that he completely embodies the creepiness and the intelligence that the original comic-book character had. It’s almost a shame that we didn’t see more of him, though we do also understand why that didn’t happen with some of Wong’s other commitments. Also, Gotham has long had a habit of trying to include as many different characters on the show as humanly possible. It’s hard to find ways to include Wong for one-off appearances since there is often so much going on with this show.
As the moment, the biggest newcomer to the series will be Shane West as Bane — basically, one of the last big-name villains that the show hasn’t touched on too much as of yet.
