Lucifer season 4 episode 7: The behind-the-scenes Supernatural connection!

Below, you can see a Twitter image (via Aimee Garcia) of herself alongside the episode’s director in Richard Speight Jr., who you may know due to his acting and directing work on Supernatural. This episode, which is entitled “Devil Is as Devil Does,” is the first one that Speight has directed for this show.
We always love seeing a familiar face from one show hopping on board another, mostly because it’s a collision of fandoms and it may help to bring even more fans over — even if Richard is not seemingly appearing onscreen. Supernatural and Lucifer fans are both passionate bunches, and they both certainly understand what it means to be underdog stories. While Supernatural has never had to scramble for a new network home, there were many years in the early going where it was certainly a bubble show that was eventually kept around for more episodes. (If Lucifer even lasts for half as long as Supernatural has, we’ll personally feel very much lucky.)
With filming for episode 7 underway, the folks at the Lucifer set are in the home stretch of the ten-episode season! All indications suggest that this will be a fun, imaginative batch of episodes, but that there’s also going to be plenty of dark moments as well. Tom Ellis always appreciates playing that side of the character, and with the arrival of Eve and also the reveal of the Devil Face out there, we’ve got a feeling that things are going to become very much complicated not too long after the show comes back. (We just wish that there was some sort of formal premiere date.)
