SEAL Team season 2 episode 4 spoilers: Will Jason actually leave the team?
In the end, that makes a great degree of sense. We are looking at the moment at a man who is desperately trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life in the aftermath of Alana’s death. The only thing that he knows that he is good at is being a SEAL; yet, the very thing that is at the top of his skill set is the thing that he may not be able to do. Every time that he goes out there, he runs the risk of his kids not having a parent. It’s a difficult thing to reconcile and something that he will have to tackle for many more weeks to come. Whatever he decides on Wednesday may not be what he figures out down the road. He’s certainly capable of changing his mind depending on some of the circumstances that are around him.

Speaking in a new interview via TVInsider, here is some of what David Boreanaz had to say on the subject of what’s coming in regards to his character:
“[Alana’s death] drives him to consider leaving the team … He’s been striving to keep them together, but then everything falls on top of him.”
As this story keeps going, we have to imagine the emotional weight of his job and his personal life will get heavier and heavier on him. The Team may start to ask more of him in the midst of a dangerous mission, but in the process, his family is going to need him. Things are not going to get better for the kids overnight; as a matter of fact, they never will. This will take a little bit of time for him to process and figure out.
