The Resident season 2 episode 6 preview: Prepare for Halloween in ‘Nightmares’
“Nightmares” is going to be a spooky episode for the series, and for a number of different reasons. For starters, people have a tendency to make somewhat-questionable mistakes around October 31, and that leads to mysterious cases that are fairly hard in order to figure out. Beyond just that, there is going to be one specific patient coming up that could really freak people out.

Halloween at Chastain proves to be just as spooky as ever when Conrad is tasked with diagnosing a young woman admitted to the hospital with extreme night terrors. Meanwhile, Devon faces his first Halloween in the ER, Nic panics over her decision to bring her newly sober sister to Mina’s epic annual Halloween party and Bell finds an interesting way to make use of his new assistant in the all-new “Nightmares” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, Oct. 29 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (RES-206) (TV-14 D, L, V)
Over this episode, the thing that we’re probably the most excited about is the Nic storyline. We had a chance to learn a little bit about her and her struggles with addiction last year and it offers up that rare opportunity to get to know about this character separate from what is happening with Conrad. That’s something that we always cherish, mostly because too often characters exist simply in relationship to each other.
Also, it’s clear already that Nic’s sister is going to have a role beyond just what’s coming up in the next episode. Be prepared for that, and also be prepared for an emotional outcome no matter what.
