Supergirl season 4 episode 4 spoilers: The Manchester Black showcase

Supergirl season 3 episode 13

Who is Manchester Black? We’ve learned that through the lens of DC Comics, but not so much through the lens of Supergirl season 4. That’s going to be changing within the near future.

This upcoming November 4 episode is going to be a prominent showcase for this character, played on the series by David Ajala. It appears on the surface that he could be an ally for J’onn J’onzz, Supergirl, and the rest of the aliens amidst the Agent Libert-led anti-alien movement. Yet, we’re always a little bit antsy about blanketing someone completely

Below, CarterMatt has the Supergirl season 4 episode 4 synopsis with some other insight on what’s ahead:

J’ONN MEETS MANCHESTER BLACK – When Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) needs help, Alex (Chyler Leigh) asks Lena (Katie McGrath) and Brainiac (Jesse Rath) to team up. Meanwhile, J’onn (David Haredwood) questions his decision to quit the DEO. However, after running into Manchester Black (guest star David Ajala), he realizes there are a lot of ways to help his fellow aliens during this tumultuous time. Armen V. Kevorkian directed the episode with story by Eric Carrasco and teleplay by Katie Rose Rogers & Jess Kardos (#404). Original airdate 11/4/2018.

This episode looks like it’s going to bring you a lot of interesting content, even though it’s not altogether clear just yet how Manchester Black is going to fit into everything. We know that this is not a one-and-done appearance for the character, though, as he is going to find a number of rather-unique ways in order to understand him better.

Of course, we’re also down for any more way in which to better incorporate Brainiac on the series, mostly because we’ve enjoyed what we’ve seen out of this iteration of the character so far.
