God Friended Me episode 5 preview: Is Miles getting unfriended already?
With this episode, you’re going to see Miles do something a little bit different from anything else that he’s done since committing to the God account mystery: He is going to try to move away from doing what it wants. Because of that, though, God may decided that they want to move on. Can he get them back? That’s still something that remains a mystery, but we’re rather interested to get some more insight on it!
Below, the God Friended Me episode 5 synopsis offers up some more information when it comes to what’s ahead:
“Unfriended” – The “God” account unfriends Miles after he’s reluctant to act on the latest friend suggestion, a young woman who is dealing with emotional trauma following the death of her sister. Also, Cara reconnects with her ex-boyfriend, Eli (Kyle Harris); Jaya (Shazi Raja) stuns Rakesh with some news; and Arthur is uncomfortable when Miles turns to his Uncle Terrance (Malik Yoba) for advice instead of him, on GOD FRIENDED ME, Sunday, Oct. 28 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
It’s a little bit surprising that the writers are separating Miles from the God account so early on in the series, since this feels more like a twist you would pull at the end of the first thirteen. Yet, maybe this accelerates Miles’ drive or his interest in keeping this going somehow. (We have a hard time presuming that this is going to be the end of the road for him and the account.) This is also an opportunity to see if Cara’s ex causes Miles to think differently about his feelings for her, and maybe this story with Miles’ uncle allows us to get a little more Joe Morton at the same time. Given the caliber of his work on Scandal, we know we want more work with him in due time.
