Blue Bloods season 9 episode 5 video: First look at ‘Thicker Than Water’
After all, later this week you’re going to have a chance to kick off the weekend with another big episode, this one featuring everything from family conflict to another important case featuring Danny and Baez at the front of it. While the promo below gives you a few glimpses of what’s coming, it doesn’t really spell anything out for you. Let’s do that here instead. “Thicker Than Water” will feature these two characters working to investigate a murder attempt against someone who seems to be well-liked — he is a “celebrated fertility doctor,” someone who has a great reputation among members of the community. Why would anyone want to go after him? That’s something these characters are going to have to figure out here since there could be a secret buried somewhere underneath the surface.
Meanwhile, one of the other cases that could be notable in this episode revolves around Erin doing her best to help Anthony in the midst of a crisis. Frank will have a story of his own, and Eddie is actually going to be taking part in a story involving Danny’s sons Jack and Sean — what could be interesting about that is that it’s one of the few times that Eddie’s had a story on this show that isn’t necessarily tied directly to what is going on with Jamie. We hope that there are some more opportunities to feature her alongside some surprising members of the family; take, for example, if she and Nicky could share some scenes together or if she could help out Erin specifically on a case. We’d love to see something where many of the women of Blue Bloods work together, given that this is something that we don’t often see that much of.
All in all, the foundation is here for “Thicker Than Water” to be something great. Let’s just hope that the story ends up delivering.
