Elementary season 7 and Instinct season 2 premiere date speculation: The latest
With that being said, though, all signs continue to suggest that you’re going to be waiting for a good while in order to see either of them.
Earlier this week, CBS confirmed that Magnum PI and God Friended Me are each going to be getting a full season. That’s great for both of these shows, but it does make you wonder, at least to a certain extent, what their longer runs mean for some of the network’s midseason programming.
How do we interpret all of this? It’s rather simple: We don’t anticipate either Elementary or Instinct coming until at least April. If Instinct is going to take the same timeslot that it had for season 1, it really seems like it cannot premiere before that point now. The same goes for Elementary, if it is going to premiere on Monday nights once more. CBS’ schedule is fairly locked-in at the moment when you look at the episode orders for many of their shows. They do have a midseason series coming in The Code, and more than likely it’ll take the place of Criminal Minds once its season 14 run is wrapped up. That seems to be the thing that makes the greatest amount of sense at the moment. Yet, there’s also another series in The Red Line that they also have to think about.
What we’re saying here is simply this: CBS has a very-crowded schedule ahead for them, and because of that, they’re going to have to make some tough decisions as to what they want to air and when. Remember here that we haven’t even brought up such things as Celebrity Big Brother or The Amazing Race, which we imagine are going to premiere at some point early on in the new year.
