Station 19 season 2 episode 4 preview: New assignments; Ryan’s past

Station 19

Want to know what’s coming on Station 19 season 2 episode 4? Well, for some of these characters, they could be learning their roles. Or, they are at least learning the roles that Sullivan wants them to learn. This is a man who has done everything that he can in order to ensure that he can run the tightest ship possible, and that includes making sure that everyone is in their “best” roles.

In a way, it makes sense — every person should excel at something out in the field in order to ensure that all of the ground is covered here. Yet, at the same time you do have to wonder if this sort of stuff is incredibly destructive to the team’s chemistry. If you split everyone up too much, they don’t spend anywhere near as much time together.

Below, CarterMatt has the Station 19 season 2 episode 4 synopsis with some other information as to what’s coming:

Everyone is less than enthusiastic when Sullivan assigns each member of the crew a specialty skill to learn. During a house call, Ryan is caught off guard when he comes face-to-face with someone from his past; and Sullivan, Andy and Maya handle a structure fire in a derelict building.

Obviously, Ryan’s story is the one that feels, at least on the surface, to be a little more personal. Could this be when we finally get a chance to see his father on the series for the first time? We already know that Dermot Mulroney is set to play this character and we’re looking forward to seeing him in this capacity. The more that we have a chance to get to know some of these characters, the better off we’ll be in the long run. (Also, who knows? There’s a reasonably good chance that the series could end up getting some sort of ratings boost with Mulroney stopping by.)
