FBI episode 5 preview: The story that lies ahead in ‘Doomsday’

Want to know some of what’s coming on FBI episode 5? Well, let’s just say that this is going to be one of the most dangerous cases yet. It’s one thing to feature a case where there are a few people whose lives are hanging in the balance; it’s another thing altogether when there could be thousands or tens of thousands at risk. When you are dealing with something like a nuclear power plant, you really have to assume the worst and prepare for some terrible stuff that could be coming around every corner.

“Doomsday” – Special Agents Maggie Bell and OA Zidan investigate the death of a safety inspector and its possible connection to a leak at a nuclear power plant, on FBI, Tuesday, Oct. 23 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This episode of FBI feels on the surface like it’s going to be especially dramatic, but it’s fairly hard to actually preview the series proper still without some additional information when it comes to the characters’ themselves. While we are certainly still rooting for Maggie and OA at just about every turn, are there going to be some opportunities to learn more about them soon? We do hope for it, mostly because there is a certain degree of mystery hovering over these characters still. We do think that this could be the sort of thing that is aided with the arrival of some people like new showrunners Derek Haas and Rick Eid — they aren’t involved with the next few episodes of the series, but on the other side of that they will be there to help ensure that FBI is as strong as possible. With a full-season order, there is more potential here for the series to keep delivering.
