The Resident season 2 episode 5 preview: The story of ‘The Germ’

Want to see some of what is coming up on The Resident season 2 episode 5? Let’s just say to prepare for “The Germ.” This is an episode that is going to mark a partnership between Dr. Bell and medical-device salesperson Julian Booth, and of course we have some curiosity surrounding what that will mean. After all, in siding with her over some of the hospital’s typical devices, is he going to host Chastain a rather hefty sum of money? That’s one part of this, and the other is whether or not Bell is just trying to find some allies in unusual places after some of what he’s been a part of as of late.

Below, The Resident season 2 episode 5 synopsis offers up a little bit more information when it comes to what lies ahead:

When Bell makes the executive call to utilize Julian Booth’s (guest star Jenna Dewan) medical devices, rather than the hospital’s usual products, Kit and AJ must stop their momentary feuding in order to team up against him. Elsewhere in the hospital, Conrad and Nic work to make a child’s dreams come true after finding out his cancer has returned and the rest of the staff takes notice of Julian and Devon’s new friendship in the all-new “The Germ” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, Oct. 22 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The state of Julian and Devon may be one of the biggest points of interest we’ve got in this episode entering it, largely because friendships can at times turn into more, and that’s problematic for a couple of different reasons here. For starters, Devon is already engaged; also, Julian could potentially take advantage of him, even if she is not intending to do so.
