The Last Ship season 5 episode 7 preview: The underground battle

Last Ship season 5 poster

Want to know some of what’s coming on The Last Ship season 5 episode 7? Well, we’re getting set to see a battle that is going to test the Vulture team on the ground. We already have Cuba serving as a key setting for much of the action at the moment, and while we want to think that the team is going to be inching closer to victory, we’ve just got a pit in our stomach that something bad is going to happen leading up to the series finale. It just seems like something that is going to be rather hard to avoid.

Basically, think about things this way: When you remember that we’re just a handful of episodes away from the end of the season, you have to think that there is going to be one or two major casualties of war. When you’re dealing with stuff that is very much steeped in the world of war, nothing ever really moves in a straight line. You think that you’re going to be getting closer to victory, but then something comes along that deprives you off that. This is a violent, dangerous environment where just one wrong move can derail almost everything. We absolutely anticipate a few more terrible things coming to pass before we make it to the end of the series.

Below, CarterMatt has The Last Ship season 5 episode 7 synopsis with some more information regarding what’s coming up:

Pinned down after days of fighting, Vulture team must find their way into a secretive enemy camp.

TNT isn’t giving a whole lot away at the moment, but this sounds like an episode that on paper could be a mixture of both progress and heartbreak. We could see the crew of Nathan James inching ever closer to victory, while at the same time getting derailed in a few surprising ways.
