The Good Doctor season 2 episode 4 video: Why is Maddie Glassman here?

Good Doctor season 2 episode 4

What lies ahead on The Good Doctor season 2 episode 4? This is a story that is going to challenge Shaun and Dr. Glassman almost more than any other.

At the center of “Tough Titmouse” is the struggle of Freddie Highmore’s character to continue to care for Dr. Glassman in the midst of some really difficult times. He is not accepting treatment in the way in which he hoped; to go along with that, he is also seeing hallucinations of his daughter Maddie. These are going to complicate just about everything. There’s something that he may want through these imaginary conversations, whether it be closure, understanding, or an escape from his current condition. Unfortunately, these conversations may cause him to be separated from the situation at hand.

The appeal for this episode really just comes down to the performances. If you love Richard Schiff, there is a pretty good chance that you’re going to love this. We’ve seen a totally different side to this character from the end of last season onward, and that is likely going to continue moving forward as the treatment progresses. We hope that Dr. Glassman makes it through these treatments in one piece, but we certainly realize that there are no guarantees. This is a hospital series, and with that death is a natural part of it. We just hope that it doesn’t involve Glassman given how many other cast departures that we’ve had this season. At least in the case of some of the other exits, they are people who could come back down the road. If Dr. Glassman is killed off, it’s effectively the end of the road and Shaun is without a friend and mentor.

Basically, let’s cross our fingers for some great news sooner rather than later. Maybe Monday night will be a source for at least some of that.
