Do you want to know what is coming on Law & Order: SVU season 20 episode 5 when it airs on NBC in one week’s time? The installment is entitled “Accredo,” and the story this time around seems to be about a cult. This is a ripped-from-the-headlines story that will tell you a thing or two about a controversial cult and also what is going to happen when the leader of it gets into the crosshairs of the special victims unit. The question that you have to wonder here, of course, is whether or not there is going to be a way in which to take the leader down. The character’s name is Arlo Beck, and he is played by former The Originals cast member Sebastian Roche. It’s a notable guest star for what is likely going to be a notable episode — and he’s not alone. Former Ray Donovan actress Lili Simmons is also going to be stopping by.

Below, the SVU season 20 episode 5 synopsis offers up some additional information when it comes to what lies ahead:

10/18/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Thursday) : A member of a women’s empowerment group is found murdered, leading the cops to the group’s charismatic male leader. Meanwhile, Rollins (Kelli Giddish) keeps her pregnancy under wraps to avoid going on desk duty. Also starring Mariska Hargitay, Ice T and Peter Scanavino. Guest starring Sara Carter (Lilah Finch), America Olivo (Claudia Bell), Lexi Lapp (Vicky Parson), Lili Simmons (Gina Goodrich) and Sebastian Roche (Arlo Beck). TV-14 D, L, V

The cult that may be at the center of this episode is NXIVM, which drew a good many headlines earlier this year due some arrests — including an actress in Allison Mack. This is a cult that played a big role in the celebrity community for some time, and it will be interesting to see just elements of it SVU decides to implement into its own story.
