Blue Bloods season 9 episode 4 spoilers: What Frank learns in ‘Blackout’

Blue Bloods season 9

Blue Bloods season 9 episode 4 carries with it the title of “Blackout,” and all signs suggest this could be a big one for Frank. It’s one thing to know how some of your police officers are faring under a more watchful eye; when the conditions start to become more like The Purge, however, you get a sense as to who they really are as people. There are some ugly things that are discovered and you have to prepare for how to handle the aftermath of that.

Below, the Blue Bloods season 9 episode 4 synopsis does offer some more information when it comes to what lies ahead:

“Blackout” – When New York City experiences a major blackout, cops scramble to contain the resulting chaos, and Frank uncovers some unpleasant truths about his department in the aftermath. Also, Jamie and Eddie question the line between work and their relationship, and Danny and Baez race to question the subject of a murder investigation before she gets tipped off by her ex-boyfriend, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Oct. 19 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Getting Frank in a situation where his officers are tested is one of the best ways we can see this character challenged, and we are absolutely for that every single chance that we possibly can. This should prove itself to be a really intense story.

As for what’s happening with Jamie and Eddie here, seeing them try to balance their work and their relationship will always be intriguing, but it’s hard to really gauge this story beyond it just being so similar to everything that we’re going to be seeing on the show Friday night.
