The Cry episode 3 preview: The truth about Noah’s disappearance, revealed

The Cry episode 1

Noah’s disappearance is one of the focal points of BBC One’s The Cryand it appears as though the series is not going to make you wait until the finale to get some answers there. Episode 3 in one week’s time will start to give you some more information when it comes to one of the series’ central “mysteries” … provided that you can call it a mystery at all. We don’t think that the real purpose of a series like The Cry is to keep you guessing. It’s a little bit more about the emotional ramifications of what happens with Joanna and some of the other characters as a result of certain actions that are taken. This show is an exploration of different ideas and mysteries and it remains to be seen precisely how their actions will impact the remainder of their lives. (Well, we do think that this is at least the case for people out there unfamiliar with the source material.)

Below, The Cry episode 3 synopsis offers up a little bit more information when it comes to some of what you can expect to see on the series coming up now:

The truth of Noah’s disappearance is revealed as his parents’ relationship unravels under pressure. Joanna realises she must play Alistair at his own game.

Based on this and this alone, the early expectation here is that you’re going to see an intricate story with a number of big, surprising emotional twists. We’re very much intrigued to see precisely what is going to come up next, though we’re not sure that “excited” is the right sort of word to use for a show like this. It seems more designed to hit you right in your core and to make you think a wide array of different, gut-wrenching things.
