Timeless movie: Check out some early script hype!

Timeless season 2

Even though the two-hour Timeless movie does not officially start filming until a little bit later this month, we’re starting to hear some of the latest buzz about it. Suffice it to say, people on the show are just as excited as some of us eagerly anticipating it from the outside.

In a new post on Twitter (see below), Annie Wersching (who plays Emma) makes it very much clear that the movie is just about everything that she could have wanted and then some. It’s emotional, and she absolutely feels like longtime Clockblockers are going to love it.

This movie was initially conceived as a farewell-of-sorts to the series, and an opportunity to tie up some of the big cliffhangers of the season 2 finale. We’ll get a chance to see whether or not Rufus can be saved in the past, and beyond just that if there is a way in which the present can become a somewhat-more stable place after all of Rittenhouse’s shenanigans. We don’t necessarily think that this movie negates the possibility of there being more Timeless in some shape or form down the line, but we do imagine that much of the goal here is to tie up some of the biggest loose ends when it comes to the series.

The Timeless movie is set to premiere on NBC a little bit later this year, and we’re already curious to see what both the promotion and the ratings are going to eventually end up being for the series. Think about things this way — if the numbers end up being a little bit better than expected for the movie, there is always a chance that something bigger could come out of this! You never quite know what’s going to happen since there is a certain degree of flux about the television industry at large.
