Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 2 review: What happened in Marrakesh?
What do we know about her now? Well, for starters, she is working in collaboration with the Chinese, who just so turned out to be working with another prominent Double Agent in Teague. This was a guy who looked on the surface to be a mild-mannered father but, in the end, had so much more that was going on here. Greer wasn’t willing to give up too much intel, and because of that Teague was still out in the wind as we neared the end of the episode. Five-0 realized that if they didn’t find the guy soon, the Chinese was going to be able to do basically everything that they wanted. They hauled him over to the Chinese embassy in Honolulu and from there, we saw a chase and, eventually, a capture.

Throughout this entire mission, there was very much of what we love about this show — mostly, many arguments between Steve and Danny, which originally started with Steve burying money in the backyard. Also, in the midst of the chase Grover’s wife’s car ended up being wrecked. Let’s just say that this is going to be a problem for him moving forward.
In the closing minutes, Steve was ready to bring in Greer over her role in everything that transpired. Yet, Greer decided in that moment to try
and blackmail Steve over what happened in Marrakesh years before. Apparently, there’s a history there that nobody quite understands at the moment, and that could be something that ends up haunting him in the future.
A Tani Rey update
As for the latest this week on Adam and the (possible) murder weapon, Tani went to the officer who briefly trained her in the Academy asking for a little bit of help. He wasn’t altogether interested in lending a helping hand since he didn’t want to run ballistics on the weapon in secret.
At the end of the episode, the officer paid Tani a visit after realizing that she had just lost her father leading up to her being booted from the Academy. He decided to help her, realizing that she was a different person than he at first assumed. This was a good jumping-off point for whatever is going to happen from here, but that’s a mystery left in the wind for the time being.
CarterMatt Verdict
Overall, Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 2 delivered on the action, and also delivering some of the different drama that you would come to expect. With Marrakesh, we also have a great mystery for the next couple of weeks depending on how quickly we get info.
