Dancing with the Stars 27: Danelle Umstead eliminated in week 2

After all of the celebrities had a chance to step out and perform on the show, the producers then had to find a way to rush some of the results out there. This wasn’t exactly a particularly easy thing for them to do, but they’re pros and cramming it in — the bummer for us was that Danelle Umstead was the person who was actually sent home this time around. How did this happen? It’s pretty shocking, given the show’s penchant for inspirational stories lasting a long time. The easiest conclusion that we can draw is that the scores just weren’t good enough this time around.
Does Umstead’s elimination mean that the entire competition is wide open? We’re not quite sure about that, mostly because we do think that there are really just a contingent of around five or six contestants who have a significance chance at winning the show this season. We do think that contestants like John Schneider (who was “in jeopardy” tonight) and then also Grocery Store Joe probably are not going to be all that long for this world.
In the end, let’s just wait and see precisely what is coming the rest of this season.
